Our Mission:

Our mission is simple. It is to raise awareness about stillbirth. Educate and advocate. In 2017, it is still considered a taboo subject to speak about, and if you know me, I am no stranger to talking about taboo subjects.

I never thought this would happen to me. And it can happen to you.

If you were ever pregnant, you know that your doctor didn't speak to you about this. Gestational Diabetes? Check. Preeclampsia? Check.  Not eating certain foods? Check. Not taking certain medicines while pregnant? Check. Stillbirth? NO. Why not?

The placenta is still the most understudied organ of the human body. How is that possible? It is literally the lifeline between the mother and the fetus. For something that is so important, it is on the back burner of science.

Did you know that the rate for stillbirths is the same as it was 50 years ago? That means there has been little research on this. Time to change. And that is what I plan to do.
